Santa Barbara Farmers Market

A rat and a cat and a dog... I thought this was pretty cool. Clearly a well fed dog though (apparently letting a cat and a rat on your back pays well). Also, another thing I haven't noticed before... a busker/street performer with a bluetooth headset. I wonder if he has a phone or just does it to fit in with the LA crowd?

State St Farmers Market - every Tuesday from 5-7.30pm

The fruit here was amazing. I have never tasted such sweet strawberries and peaches before in my life. All organic and locally grown too. I think I like it here in Santa Barbara! I came home with bags full of peaches, strawberries, apples, things for salad.

Also stopped by The Cheese Shop which has a terrific selection of cheese and wine and picked up a pack with 3 different cheeses, 4 different condiments and some bread to go with it. Mmm... I just noticed that they have a cheese of the month club!

Also stopped by See's Candies to get some white chocolate cashew brittle. Mmmm. Will be quite a party at my house this week!

Out and about in Santa Barbara

View of the street that I'm living on, you can see mountains in the far distance.

View from down near Stearns Wharf, back up over Santa Barbara. All palm trees and spanish style buildings.

Views from Stearns Wharf.

And the GIANT gull who ate my chips!

Welcome home - Treetop Cottage, Santa Barbara

This is my new home in sunny Santa Barbara - well, until Friday when I move into another cottage for a week, then to another one - I'll eventually be back here though.

This is the view from standing just inside the front door, with the bedroom to the right, bathroom straight ahead, kitchen to the back/left, and lounge to the left.

Sorry this one is a little dark, but this is obviously the lounge room, with the TV in the wooden cabinet.

Loungeroom again with the kitchen in the background. You can also see where there is a small desk and I have my computer between the two candle sticks.

The teeny tiny bedroom where I have to be careful to close the window of an evening so the RACOONS don't come in!

And the bathroom - everything you could think of provided!

Looking from the bathroom back to the front door, with bedroom on the left and loungeroom on the right.

Looking from one end of the kitchen down to the other. Again - everything provided. Also a lovely stocked fruit bowl, cereal and things for breakfast. Tea and coffee. And even a bottle of wine in the fridge! That reminds me... I was just boiling the kettle for tea - I'll trade that for wine!

More kitchen.
