New York - Random sites

Didn't get a chance to stop in for a brewski, but I did notice that they had "Aussie Happy Hour" from 4-7pm - now thats my kind of happy hour!

This is a site called Tiles for America - Remembering and Honoring those lost on Sept 11. Out the front of the nearby St Vincents Hospital there was a large notice board for missing persons. After time, any missing persons notices were taken down, and locals made tiles and this memorial in memory of them.

Don't fall!

Don't Honk! If only this sign were obeyed. I've never heard so much honking in my life. Honk honk honk HONK!

The first Macy's store... if you look closely you can see the shaddowing of the letters.

Little Italy.

I spy Ronald!

This is a really cool piece of public art. Its a clock! The first 8 numbers show the Hours, Minutes, Seconds, Milliseconds that have passed in the day - and the last 8 numbers (in reverse) show the time left in the day. So it was 21:24 (9.24pm) etc..

New York, by Night

Bubbles!

Yoga anyone? I really can't imagine feeling relaxed and all doing Yoga in Times Square... Downwards Dog.

New York - Buildings

Out and about in NYC.

The Chrysler building

The Empire State Building

Apparently owned by Moby - cool loft none the less.

New York - A Fast Food Nation

Its hard not to notice all the fast food in NY. A few interesting things...

Wendy's - no ice-cream or Shake'n'Dog!

Subway - $5 footlongs - all day - everyday.
Ruby ruby ruby tuesdays!

Macca's is known as Micky D's.

Anyone for Wang?

Out of curiosity I tried to order a "McChicken Burger" - but I had to order a Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwhich, with no tomato - it was pretty darn close to a McChicken. Also - NYC has a ban on all trans-fats... though I dont think it made it any better for me.
